e cardAdmit it- since the day after Halloween all you have been thinking about is the most wonderful time of the year… I will gladly say that I have already been going through my Christmas decorations, perusing the Christmas section at Target and other craft stores, and holding off on pulling up my N’Sync Christmas playlist on Pandora.

HOWEVER, I absolutely adore Thanksgiving and everything it stands for so I really make an effort to hold off on decking the halls..err home with as many Christmas decorations it can hold until after Thanksgiving. During the month of November, I transition from Halloween to Christmas by putting away the spooky decor, keeping with the harvest theme, and adding a little winter glam (without the Christmas stockings, trees, etc.) As a fun lead up to the holiday this week, I thought I would put together a little bonus blog post with some Thanksgiving Decoration ideas!

For those of you that do not remember or did not get a chance to read my Fab Fall Decorating ideas, here is what our entry way table and mantle looked like in October: Fab Fall Decorating Ideas.

For November, I did a little rearranging and added a few metallic accents to turn the decor into a Thanksgiving theme.

I then swapped out the October printable for my “season of thanks” sign that I picked up at Shopko on clearance a few years ago. They always have such great sales on holiday decorations. I have gotten our Christmas lights and ornaments from there the past few years. I then added the ADORABLE “Joy” wire sign that I picked up at Target in the Christmas section this past week. I thought the copper color of the sign coordinated well with the rest of the harvest theme, and I can easily transfer it over to my Christmas decor so it’s a win win. I also snagged the pillow in the wire crate from Target in the dollar section- along with some fun stocking holders which you will be seeing on the blog soon!

Here is our November mantle! You bet I printed my new favorite “Gobble til you Wobble” printable sign that I showed you on my Tis the Season to be Thankful blog post a few weeks back. It was the perfect swap out for my previous fall printable that I had in that same frame in October. I put away the black and white pumpkins, but kept the gold and silver. I then added some gold glitter pine cones and metallic “snow balls” as I like to call them. I found those at TJ Maxx last year and purchased the glass vases from Jo Ann Fabrics (which is where my pumpkins are from as well). The logs are decorations that a friend gave to us that they had used as center pieces at their winter wedding, and the gold deer with a fur shawl (how cute is that) was a new find at Target this year.

Here are a few close ups of the mantle:

The Break Espresso Canvas print is an anniversary gift I had made for Mike a few years ago. It’s a fun memento for where we met and I like to revolve the mantle decor around it.

FullSizeRender (7)The rustic wood picture frame is a frame my mom picked up for me at Shopko as a “congrats” for after we got engaged. I am loving this new addition to the mantle as well. 🙂

Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with friends and family this week! Don’t forget to take a moment to be grateful and remind yourself what the true meaning of this holiday season is.

Uniquely,
B.
